I know we spend a good amount of time together reviewing traffic laws and good common sense.  Yet it seems to still be necessary – because there hasn’t really been a decrease in the idiots I encounter who somehow have been issued driver’s licenses – and sadly are USING them.

So here we are…once again….fighting driver’s proud display of ignorance for all to see.  And endure.  It’s possible we’ve even discussed this particular topic – we’ve done a lot on proper driving etiquette, so forgive me if this is repetitive.

It IS necessary (and quite important), when an emergency vehicle is coming to pull as far to the right as possible and come to a stop.  This applies both when the emergency vehicle is going the same direction as you, or from oncoming traffic.

It IS NOT necessary to pull as far to the right as possible and come to a complete stop, when there is a PHYSICAL BARRIER between you and an oncoming emergency vehicle!!  Let’s use just a LITTLE common sense people!  Do you REALLY think that ambulance is going to come straight through that wall in a desperate attempt to get somewhere faster??  Or that the full ladder truck on the other side of that median is going to go 4-wheelin’,  take out the trees and decorative boulders landscaped in, and come across into where you’re driving the opposite direction?!

They’re physical barriers people.

Dumbasses.
