The transplant process is finally moving forward….YAY!!

I have completed – and passed – all of the tests I can do from home.  Monday, I’m scheduled for a full day of testing at UCSD.  8:00am – 4:00 pm I will be poked, prodded, drawn from, starved, fed….and who knows what else.

If I pass ALL of the tests they run on Monday….then we schedule the surgery.  WHEW!  We’re SOOOO close!

Now, granted – there are a lot of tests next week, and anything can go wrong.  So send lots of…ummm….pass-y?? vibes my way on Monday.

Also, my entire weekend is going to be absolutely CRAZY!  let me illustrate:

Saturday I have to be up at 6:00 to be at a volunteer interpreting job in Sierra Vista.  I’ll be home around 5:00 (earlier if there’s any luck in the world to be had).

Saturday night I have a poker tournament from 7:00pm – 12:00am.

Sunday I have to be up at 5:00am to be showered, packed and in Phoenix ready to play the USAV tournament by 8:00am.

At roughly 6:30, when the tournament is over, I leave directly for San Diego, so I can be at UCSD for my tests by 8:00am.

When my tests are over at about 4:00pm, I have to immediately return home, so I’m ready to start a not-new-but-new-again job Tuesday morning at 8:00am.

WHEW!!!

If you can also send me all-hopped-up-on-something-good vibes to keep me up until I can completely crash…..that would be GREAT!  And if I happen to call any of you in the middle of a 2 – 6 hour drive begging you to keep me awake – for the love of all that’s holy – think of SOMETHING!

Wish me luck!
